The Thrill of Victory...The Agony of Defeat
Well, what started out to be a great evening, ended quickly. Pierce pulled both of his front teeth yesterday evening - both within an hour of the other.
Then...not long after his head hit the pillow, teeth underneath for the Tooth Fairy, Pierce woke suddenly with the same stomach virus we had last week. Poor baby. Let's just say he trashed his bed, our bed and the guest bed. He is still sound asleep this morning...and hopefully this is just a 24 bug for his sake. Now we wait, and pray that Sierra doesn't get it.
It was a LONG NIGHT...but when it is your children, it just doesn't seem to matter.
Hope everyone has a great week - and has finished your Christmas Shopping!

Monumental Week!
Last night Sierra lost her tooth! This is the tenth tooth Sierra has lost. Then tonight Pierce lost his third tooth! His top front tooth. He was SO excited! He is about to lose his other front tooth, and says he is going to work it until it comes out so he can lose it before Christmas.
Tooth Fairy and Santa all in one week! What more could a child as for? :)

Back in the swing of things!
Today is the first day this week we have really felt better. Although - the day is still young :) Yesterday, we thought we were better. Brett went to work, I got up and ran some errands, and by mid-afternoon...it hit us again. We were both down again last night. Not sure what this is, but it doesn't feel good, and it sticks around WAY TOO LONG.
Also - New Book. I'm reading "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan. It was a little slow in the beginning - but now I love it!
On a side note - my previous post "Obsession" (for my close friends who know the situation). Yesterday was yet another example. It's a feeling that is hard to describe - other than smothered. And sad. Keep us in your prayers!
Merry Christmas to everyone!

Tis the Season...to be sick!
Monday evening sickness suddenly hit Brett. He turned white, headed for the bathroom, and then went to lay down. I first thought maybe it was food poisoning, but then I wasn't sick...yet. We both went to bed and before we knew it, we were both in separate bathrooms. This happened all night long - throwing up every hour ALL NIGHT LONG. At one point, me, Brett and Pudge (our bulldog), were all throwing up at the same time. I opted out on cleaning that up...glad it wasn't my dog. :) Around 2:30am, I received a text from our oldest daughter Megan that she was sick - same thing. Guess we all had a stomach virus or a slight case of the flu. Whatever it was (or is) it is nasty. We didn't get out of bed all day on Tuesday, and crawled out of bed today around 9am, now we're both down again. Fever, body aches, throwing up...UGH!
The bright side is at least we got it over with before Christmas.

Chickasha Festival of Lights
Last night we took the kids (Megan & Hudson included), to see the holiday lights in Chickasha. We had so much fun! The first thing we did was take a horse & carriage ride.
Guess who had to sit up front with the driver? YES, PIERCE! He jumped up front next to "Sam" our driver and Sierra sat next to him.
The rest of us sat right behind them and we were all wrapped up in blankets. It was a beautiful night - and a great time with family. Next we got out of the carriage and walked around the lights. Pierce wanted everyone to go to the big red tree. We played tag, took pictures, and spent quality time with everyone.
We have a great family!
