All is well at the Burleson house. Sierra has had a friend (Tori) spend the night four out of the seven days she was here. They are so cute together. Brett went to Denver on a business trip on Wednesday night and got back home around 9pm tonight. Quick trip, but he was missed! The rain has kept us inside a lot this week, but we've rented movies, gone to the theatre to see Surf's Up, played games and spent a lot of time with the kids. Sometimes rain is not such a bad thing.
Work is really busy for both me and Brett, and I'm not so sure it is going to slow down anytime soon. We are coming up on our busy time of the year and I think Brett stays busy all the time.
Megan and Hudson are both doing well. He is now weighing in at 7lbs. He is such a good baby...never cries. I don't think Megan realizes how good she has it. We get to baby-sit again tomorrow night. I can't wait!
Brandon is good and dating a new girl from OSU. He has decided to get a part-time job and go back and finish his degree. Shouldn't take him long.
That's about it for now. Will post more over the weekend.

Will it ever stop raining?
We have finally completed our backyard (other than the electrician) and it has rained non-stop! We also decided to buy a "fun" car this summer so we traded in the Tahoe for a 4dr Jeep Wrangler. It is SO much fun with the top off, but I think it has rained every day since we bought it. On Saturday, JB and I went on our weekly donut run and we took the Jeep with the top off. JB saw a puddle in the rode and yelled, "drive through it Mommy!" so I did. Who would've thought that the water would come all the way up and OVER the top of the Jeep. We were soaked! We laughed so hard...and then JB looked at me so seriously and said, "I'm going to tell daddy you got his Jeep wet". And he did. We have so much fun.
Friday night I got to baby-sit Hudson. He is adorable and never cries. I don't think Megan really understands how lucky she is that he is such a good baby. He is up to 7 lbs now and doesn't have to go back to the dr. until he is 2 months old. He's going to be one spoiled baby!
Life is good!

Update
Hudson was two weeks old yesterday and had his first dr appt. He is doing well and now weighs 6 lbs, 4 oz. The dr. said she didn't see any problems with his lungs and that Megan should feed him every 3 hours whether he's awake or not. Megan also had her 2 week dr. appt and she is doing great. She said she feels good and has lost 27 pounds in 2 weeks! She was really excited about that.
Just wanted to let everyone know all is well.

Megan and Hudson are home!
I got the privilege of bringing Megan and Hudson home from the hospital today. I had taken off work to spend the day with her, and she called this morning to say he was being released at 2pm.
They are both home safe and sound and doing well. She feels great and he is precious! They are going to have so much fun with him. She has done a great job with her new house and Hudson's room is adorable.
Just wanted to give everyone an update. We finally have them home!!!

Megan and Hudson
Just wanted to update everyone on Megan and Hudson.
Hudson Scott Glen McCormick was born, May 29th at 2:53pm, 5 weeks early. He was 6 lbs, 13 oz and 19-3/4" long. It has been a pretty tough week for both of them. Hudson was taken early because Megan had toxemia and her kidneys were starting to shut down. Once he was born, they medicated Megan to try and take care of the toxemia and high blood pressure. The medicine made Megan have flu like symptoms and they put it through an IV so she could not get out of bed. Hudson was also hooked up to an IV in the nursery. His left lung was premature so from the time he was born, he has been on oxygen and had a feeding tube down his throat. It was really hard to see him like that, but as of today, they took everything off of him but the oxygen. He is only requiring a small amount of oxygen and they will ween him off slowly. Megan is doing well and was released from the hospital on Saturday. She and Heath rented a room at the hospital so they could be close to Hudson. We're not sure how long he will have to stay, but they want to make sure he is breathing well on his own before they release him. He is a very pretty baby with lots of hair. I will try and post pictures soon.
