Parent's Day at Camp WOW (Walk on Water)

Brett and I are headed to Camp Wow today at noon for Parent's Day at Sierra's church camp. We plan to eat dinner with her around 5:30pm and then do scheduled activities. Last week, we had several conversations with Sierra about God and the meaning of baptism. She had expressed an interest in being baptized so Brett gets the privilege of baptizing her tonight at camp! We will take plenty of pictures and post a blog after we return.

We had JB last night by himself. We had so much fun!!! We took him to eat, to a movie and then played until it was time to go to bed. He has really grown up and we really enjoy our 1:1 time with all the kids.

Brett and I have our 3-year anniversary on Monday. I can't believe it's been 3 years already. We are leaving for Mexico on Thursday and will be gone a week. I CAN'T WAIT!

Headed to camp!

This week Sierra is headed to church camp. It is the first time she will have been away from home for an extended amount of time. She is SO excited! I took her shopping last week and she picked out a new suitcase, swimsuit, shorts, etc. She leaves on Tuesday and returns on Saturday. Brett and I are going Friday to Parent's Day to spend some time with her and eat dinner. She can either come back home with us, or come back on the bus the next day. I guess it all depends on how much fun she is having.

It's been a great weekend so far. We're keeping Hudson and he is being so good. He and Brett are chilln on the couch right now. He's going to be one spoiled little boy :)

4th of July

Hope everyone had a great 4th! We sponsored several events (Red, White, Boom!) and The Oklahoman Freedom Festival in Bethany, so I helped out Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. It is fun working those events because you meet so many nice people. During the festival in Bethany, so many people came up and thanked me for what The Oklahoman is doing in the community. I love to hear that (especially since it is "our" dept that coordinates all those events). Now we are gearing up for football season...with Fan Fest at OU, Edlam (Edmond HS football) and OSU. Going to be a busy fall!

We had a party at our house the evening of July 4th. The weather was beautiful so we hung out on the deck in the backyard. Thank goodness we had lots of bug spray, the mosquitoes are terrible this year with all this rain. We had a great time. We had lots of food, and then rode scooters to the back of our neighborhood and shot off fireworks. Brett was like a kid in a candy store! :) He loves this holiday.

I think we're finished with our backyard (for now). It is really starting to shape up and we spend a lot of time out there. Brett bought a 32" flat screen to go on the back patio so now the kids can go outside and watch Disney while they swim. To be a kid again.

Megan came over last night and brought Hudson. He is getting so big and is such a cute baby! I know I say this all the time, but NE NEVER CRIES! Brett sat on the couch with Hudson sleeping on his stomach. He is going to be one spoiled little boy!

Hope everyone had a great holiday! We're off to Mexico in about 3 weeks for our 3rd anniversary...I CAN'T WAIT!!!
