Seems like we're finally getting back to normal. The snow is starting to melt and people are actually starting to act civil again. The grocery stores will have milk and bread again and schools will open back up. I was getting so stir crazy in the house. Brett and I made a deal that we would trade off running errands. Our Tahoe is great in this weather, but the Lincoln, not so much. We are talking about trading it in for a second utility vehicle this spring...I'm ready.
SB & JB are both feeling better. They just got out of the bath and got their pj's on for the evening so I'm trying to hurry so I can go lay with JB and watch Tarzan. Sierra is watching Deal or No Deal with dad...one of her favorites. She always wants them to take a risk and keep playing, it's funny to watch her.
MB, thanks for the email explaining why you can't post. We miss reading your blog because you do such a great job of telling us whats going on in your life. Hopefully you will be back up and running soon.
RC, thanks for the email but still, nothing. I tried sending another one and it came back. Not sure what to do now. Call me sometime and we'll figure it out.
As for everyone else...I hope you start blogging soon (that means you too sweetie, BRB) because I think this is an awesome way to journal our lives.

Round II
I'm having flash backs of last weekend. Here we go again, round II of Oklahoma Ice Storm 2007. Only in Oklahoma would someone name a storm. I just made a huge pan of chili and we have all but one (Megan) of the kids home. Unfortunately, two of them are sick. I picked up the little ones from daycare yesterday after work and they told me Sierra had been laying in the office all day long. She didn't look well. She said she had been running a fever at the other house the day before and hadn't been to the doctor yet, which didn't sit too well with dad. Now we were looking at 7pm on a Friday evening with a major snow storm headed our way and a child with a fever of 103.2. Sierra started complaining that her side hurt and she was burning up so Brett took her immediately to the Mercy After Hours Clinic while I stayed home with JB. He called me around 10pm and they were just getting in to see the dr. The strep test came back positive so after leaving the doctor and going by to get her medicine, they didn't get home until after midnight. She is sleeping right now...poor thing. And JB has a sinus infection and a cough. I just hate it when the kids are sick, I feel so sorry for them. We are all trying not to get in SB's face so we don't pass it around the house. Brett just went to the store to try and find her a puzzle or something she can do to keep her busy without a lot of physical activity. I think they are both bored too tears because they've been couped up in the house all week.
We decorated JB's room while he was gone...new bed, Superman comforter, valance and throw. We moved his furniture around so he wouldn't climb on his dresser, which was his favorite thing to do with the old bed. So this morning I walk in and find him standing on top of the dresser, getting prepared to jump off onto his bed. Which is not exactly next to his dresser. He is such a climber and is in constant motion. It's amazing he hasn't broken any bones yet. We also got him a white noise machine to help him sleep. He decided he wanted to listen to "rain" last night and I think it actually helped.
The snow/sleet hasn't hit us hard yet, but I just heard it is moving slower than expected. Guess we will be in for at least a couple of days, if not more. Hopefully it will end soon. We leave next weekend for a Marketing Conference in Las Vegas. I'm excited! Brett is going with me so we can meet up after my meetings. I'm sure he will find something to do while I'm working :)
Hope everyone is staying warm, and safe! BTW...RC, if you're reading this, you're emails keep coming back undeliverable...what's that about?

Love this weather!
It is about 9am on Sunday morning and the weather is just starting to get bad again. I love this weather because it forces us to stay inside and get all those little things (we keep putting off) done! Not to mention the 1:1 time we spend together.
Actually, yesterday we went shopping all day. It was so much fun because we felt like we had the mall to ourselves. The streets weren't really that bad, and the Tahoe is great in this weather. We also went out to eat and surprisingly, most places were open. We each got a few things (clothes) and then we went to radio shack to get a new bluetooth. I have one that is black & silver and has a small arm to talk through. I wanted to give that one to Brett (since he didn't have one) so we bought me a pink one. That way he won't use mine. haha Sierra loves using the bluetooth. Brett is making sure they are both up-to-date with the newest technology.
Later in the afternoon, we went to Brandon Weeden's house. That's where BL and about 10 other friends decided to settle for the weekend. Oh to be young again! They were having so much fun. Brandon Weeden bought a house in our old neighborhood and it is really nice. Wood floors, faux painted walls, rock entrance, etc... They gave us the tour and it was hilarious! There was a pallet in the closet, in the study and about anywhere you looked someone had made a bed for the night. We encouraged all of them to stay in for the night. And Brett, being the giving, sensitive person that he is, offered to buy all of them pizza. Of course they declined saying they all had good paying jobs, but were very appreciative. Speaking of good paying jobs, BL is now making anywhere from $300-$600/weekly giving lessons...not a bad gig. In fact, he told us last night a lady called to book a lesson for her 6 year old son (who doesn't even play baseball) but she saw BL's flyer (with his picture) and wanted him to give her son lessons. Oh yeah, she asked him out on a date also. haha She is 28 years old and BL laughed and said he thought he would have to pass on that one.
We spoke to the little ones several times yesterday. They are having fun and staying warm inside. Sierra is just about to the age where we can talk to her via email while she is gone. We have our desktop hooked up on a desk in the garage since we have two laptops, so that "might" be an option for her in the near future. She loves to get online and play Barbie or Scooby Doo games. She is so smart, just amazes me sometimes. I had so much fun with her this past week. We did a lot of "girl" things and she was so affectionate. She crawled up in bed with me one morning and said, "Mommy, you are the second coolest mom" and I said, "thank you sweetheart". She stopped and said, "No, you are the first coolest mom when I am here. When I'm with Ali, you are the second coolest" haha. She's going to be in politics! Then there is JB. WHICH, by the way, is the only name he wants us to call him. I got on the phone with him yesterday and said, "Hi Pierce!", he said, "Mommy, you don't even know who this is, I'm JB, not Pierce" I've got to remember that because he gets pretty insistent. He has grown up so much these past few months. We called Megan several times yesterday and she was home, staying warm. Her car is horrible in this weather. Brett drove her home from work on Friday and I picked him up at her apartment. We only have one car this weekend because mine is at the Lincoln dealership. Couldn't have happened on a better weekend.
Well, the ice is really coming down now. Guess we will be doing LifeChurch online today.
Hope everyone is doing well and staying warm! Miss hearing from you.

New Year...
Well, it's a new year and Brett and I have made a pact to "try" and do a better job updating our blog. We're also snowed in and I'm bored :)
It's Saturday morning about 10:30am and we don't have any of our children home. Funny how sometimes peace and quiet seems like the only thing you want, then when you have it, you wish all your children were home. I love it when they are all here and they each have friends with them. Last weekend, Pierce had Jack, his best friend over all day Saturday. They had so much fun. They played super hero, built a bat cave, played with legos and never had a disagreement. Sierra went to a birthday party on Saturday (Emma from her class), and then went to another birthday party at Build-A-Bear on Wednesday evening. We had a very busy week, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Megan came over on Sunday evening and went with me to take Sierra and Pierce to McDonalds to play. Monday evening we had about 20 people over to watch the National Championship game (OSU vs Florida). Not to mention, Sierra had dance that night so I had to sneak out for about an hour to take her. Brett is a great host though. He came home from work early and cleaned the house and started getting everything ready. I prepared most of the food when I got home, but it was nice having the house clean. Speaking of that, we have now hired a cleaning person. Or as the kids like to call her, a maid. haha She is great and it is so nice to come home from working all day to a clean house. I'm not talking about "picking up", I'm talking about deep down, clean the blinds, bathrooms, floors, etc... type of clean. That's the part we don't have time for. I would recommend it for everyone who works.
Well, we are sitting here, Brett is playing PS3 and I am working (and shopping online) :) We are thinking about getting out later to go shopping a little (since there probably won't be many people out). Our Tahoe does great in this weather, it's the other person I always worry about.
I know this sounds a little disjointed, but it's a brief look into our lives. Look forward to hearing about yours!
Stay warm.

Happy New Year!
Just want to wish everyone a happy new year!
The holidays were good for us, but very busy. We haven't done a very good job of posting and keeping everyone updated, so maybe now that everything has slowed down a little, we will have more time.
2006 was a great and memorable year. We will remember it for many reasons but most of all it was the year BL was drafted. Megan moved out and got a great job with Brett, Sierra started 1st grade and loves it and JB turned 4 years old and has grown/matured beyond belief. Brett had a tremendous year at his office and earned "President's Club" status (which means we will be going on a cruise in March). And my job has taken off and has a lot of potential growth. And we spent our first "full year" in our new home. All this to say life is good and we're all looking forward to 2007. Also, my best friend, Dede, got engaged in New York on New Year's Eve. Most of you probably know her from singing at our wedding. I'm really excited for she and Rick her fiance.
I miss reading everyone's blog, but know how busy everyone is. Hopefully we can all start blogging again during the new year and keep each other posted on life events via internet.
Hope everyone is well and having a great 2007!
