I can't believe our baby turned 4 years old yesterday! Pierce had a great birthday and you wouldn't believe all the presents he received. What in the world is Santa going to bring him?? I told him we were going to have to go back and "re-write" our letter to Santa because almost everything he asked for, he got for his birthday. Sure makes it tough on poor ole Santa. His birthday started on Sunday when Grams & Papaw came and picked him up for his "special" day. He went shopping and got to pick out his own present. The Spiderman Helicopter is awesome! We've been playing with it ever since Sunday. Thanks for always making their birthday's special. It's fun to spend 1:1 time with each of them.
Yesterday (his actual birthday) was a huge day for Pierce. I stayed home with him and the day started with me asking what he wanted to do. He said, "I'm not sure, but it is my day so I will tell you when I think of it". Didn't take him long...first stop was Target - to buy another toy. He was sure there was something there he didn't already have :) We had fun taking our time shopping. He even picked out a small tree with some Scooby Doo ornaments for his room. He decided he wanted to put it in the living room for everyone to see. On the way home, we got lunch and ice cream and then watched movies and played with his new toys. Around 1pm, he went to Incredible Pizza with his friend down the street, J.R. They stayed until around 4pm when they both came back to the house and we all got ready to head to JB's party at Pump It Up. Pierce had invited about 10 friends from the neighborhood and daycare. And Brandon & Megan both came. He had a blast! About 30 minutes into the party, we looked over and he was laying on the floor. He was so tired he could hardly move! Bless his heart, he had a big day. He was so excited though because his best friends (JR, JP, Joseph and Jack) all came to his party. This is what Pierce calls "The J Club"
After the party, (inflatables, cake, presents, etc) we headed to the house and had our own family party. By that time, JB was pooped. He could hardly keep his eyes open, but wanted to play with every toy - at least once before he fell asleep.
Needless to say, he was a little cranky this morning. But didn't take long for him to get up and around when he found out mom was taking him to get donuts before school. :)
Another great day with all the kids.

Life as it should be
Have you ever felt unworthy? I often feel that way lately...life is really good. God blessed me with a wonderful family and I'm thankful every day. Now...don't get me wrong, I still have those days of feeling a little overwhelmed when there doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day to get it all done, but those are few and far between.
Family update:
SB - doing well. Still loves school and loves the new schedule (with no island visit). She used to ask us over and over, can we PLEASE stay all week. Well, now they do and it's awesome! She is taking dance on Monday evenings and is one of the youngest in the class (you'd never know it by watching her).
JB - he is preparing for his 4th birthday - November 27. He keeps telling us he's going to be four soon so he now acts like a BIG boy. I'm not sure I've ever been around a child with so much personality. We have had a great time with them this weekend.
BL - doing well. The job he was supposed to have when he returned fell through. So he is in the process of trying to line up some lessons or find something to do for the next couple of months before he leaves for Arizona again. Other than that, he looks great and is loving life.
Megs - she's awesome. She is still working full-time with Brett and as we mentioned in previous posts, has already been promoted to Travel Coordinator. She is a hard worker and we're very proud of her.
Well, that about sums up our crew. Everyone is good and we're all looking forward to the holidays.

The Bride and the Ranger
If you get a chance, go to our photo album and check out Sierra and Pierce on Halloween. They were so cute and had a blast trick-or-treating. We met up with some friends around 6:15 Tuesday evening (there were about 20 kids and their parents) in a neighborhood near Sierra's school. Once there, we had a pumpkin painting contest for the kids and then off we went! The parents walked along while the kids ran from door to door. I think JB was the youngest, but you would have never known...he held his own. At one point during the night, everyone was together, expect JB. We turned around and he was trying to climb on a bench on someone's front porch so he could ring the door bell. One of the older kids yelled for him to come on, and JB yelled back, hang on, I haven't got my candy yet! haha He was so funny! The people that lived there weren't home, but that didn't matter to JB, he WANTED his candy! We finally convinced him we would give him some candy if he would leave.
Last night Megan and I took the two little ones to have their picture made. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. Pierce was a comedian. They were standing on a table and the photographer told him to put his foot where his (photographers) hand was. So Pierce not only put his foot there...he stomped on his hand. Guess he did what he asked. Then he had a stuffed animal and acted silly to get the kids to laugh...he succeeded. Pierce would laugh so hard he would bend over giggling...not a very good picture. At the end of the day, we had some great shots of the kids. Sierra is a natural and the photographer kept telling me how great she was. JB looked at him and said, I was good too!
This morning Brett dropped Sierra off at a friends house on the way to work (she was out of school for parent teacher conference) so I kept JB until around 11am. We went to breakfast and hung out. It was fun...but Friday's are always sad for me. I really miss them when they're gone. Last time Sierra called me 3-4 times during the week so that makes it a little easier.
Life is good at our house. I was sick part of the week, but feeling better now. Brett's lasik surgery went well and we've had a great week with the kids.
Hope everyone is having as much fun as we are.
